LNK DSA & PSL’s Inauguration Day Protest & Community Building & Information Exchange
January 20 @ 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
DSA & PSL as well as other organizations are gearing up to organize against the incoming Trump administration’s extreme right, billionaire agenda! We’re organizing a weekend of action in the run-up to Inauguration Day from January 18-20 to show how workers deserve more. DSA will be there in the months and years ahead to say NO to genocide, deportations, union-busting, abortion bans, trans bans, evictions & all the cruelties that may ramp up under Trump — we will fight for our rights, fight fascism, and build socialism!
The Protest will be from 1pm-2:15PM on the area in front of the North Steps of the Capitol. We do have the location reserved for our event. We will have the media there to speak with some representatives. We will have signs on hand as well as hand warmers, coffee, and hot chocolate. Please dress for the weather as it will be pretty cold and maybe a bit windy. However you can come warm up with us and learn some more about our organizations as well as some others that are doing some phenomenal work in the local community.
This Community Building & Information Exchange will be held at 2:30 in the Narnia room of The Foundry which is located at 211 N. 14th St. Lincoln, NE 68508. We have the space until 4:30pm. We will have about 5-6 organizations or groups speak about their work and share some information.
Also if you would like to make a sign or help fold some zines, and get to know some of our members, we will be having a Sign and Zine making event Sunday 19th at Bennet Martin Public Library 4th floor Auditorium in downtown Lincoln at 4pm.
